The Living Path Saha School of Yoga

February 2027

Next 200 Hour Yoga teacher training

The Living Path

There comes a point in practice where yoga begins to ask more of us.

Not more flexibility.
Not more advanced postures.
But more presence.
More honesty.
More awareness.
More of our whole selves.

The Living Path was created from the belief that yoga is not something we simply practice for an hour on our mat. It is a way of living. A way of relating to ourselves, to others, and to the world around us.

Whether your intention is to become a certified yoga teacher or simply to deepen your personal practice, this training is an invitation to step into the heart of yoga, together.

Recognized through the Yoga Alliance, this 200-hour certification provides the education and experience required to teach yoga while honoring the depth and integrity of the tradition. More importantly, it offers the opportunity to discover your own authentic relationship with the practice.

At Saha, we believe that great teachers are not created by memorizing sequences or performing impressive postures. They are cultivated through curiosity, self-inquiry, humility, and lived experience. Your voice as a teacher is not something we give you. It is something we help you uncover.

Throughout our time together, we will explore yoga as a complete practice.

Together we will study:

• Alignment, anatomy, and intelligent movement
• Teaching methodology and the art of holding space
• Yogic philosophy through the Yoga Sutras and other traditional texts
• Meditation as a lifelong practice
• Pranayama and the wisdom of the breath
• Ayurveda and its application to modern life
• Sanskrit, mantra, ritual, and the mystical traditions of yoga
• Ethics, and cultivating safe, inclusive spaces

This is not simply an educational program. It is a container for transformation.

Over the course of these months, you will be invited to establish a consistent practice, engage in meaningful self-reflection, and experience the teachings not only intellectually, but personally. The wisdom of yoga becomes real when it is lived. That is why we call this training The Living Path.

Our program is offered in a hybrid format, combining immersive weekends together with thoughtfully designed online learning. This allows students to integrate the teachings into daily life while still experiencing the depth and connection of learning in community.

We are deeply honored to welcome Mary Opperman, whose lifelong study of Sanskrit, mantra, and pranayama brings extraordinary depth to our training. Mary, along with Fran Ortiz, will guide our opening and closing ceremonies, weaving together ancient wisdom, breath, sound, and sacred practice in a way that beautifully anchors the journey we will share.

2027 Training Schedule

February 12–14 (opening ceremony Friday evening)

March 13–14

April 10–11

April 30–May 2 (weekend retreat)

We intentionally keep this training intimate to preserve the quality of mentorship, connection, and personal growth for every student. If you feel called to this journey, we invite you to complete an application. We look forward to learning about you, your practice, and what has led you here.

Sometimes the path begins with a single class.

Sometimes it begins with a quiet knowing that there is something more.

If that knowing lives within you, we would be honored to walk this Living Path together.

Emily Williams, ERY-500

Jessica began her yoga studies in the Sacred Valley of Peru, where she completed her first 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training while immersed in the land, its traditions, and sacred ceremony. The experience shaped not only how she teaches, but how she understands yoga as a living practice. Upon returning home, she completed a second 200-hour Teacher Training through Wild Spirit School of Yoga under the guidance of Jennifer Carmack, further deepening her foundation. In the spring of 2025, Jessica completed her 300-hour advanced training with Janet Stone, whose teachings continue to influence her devotion to practice, philosophy, and the art of teaching.

Jessica’s teaching is rooted in the wisdom of Hatha Yoga with strong influences from the Iyengar lineage, where alignment becomes a pathway to awareness rather than perfection. She invites students to explore the conversation between effort and surrender, strength and softness, sun and moon. Hatha reminds us that yoga is not about choosing one over the other, but learning to hold both with presence.

For Jessica, asana is far more than physical movement. It is the doorway into embodiment. Through breath, alignment, and conscious awareness, we begin to listen to the intelligence of the body. We discover where energy flows freely, where old patterns are held, and where healing is patiently waiting to unfold. The body becomes both teacher and guide as we cultivate a deeper relationship with our nervous system, our lived experiences, and the subtle layers of ourselves.

Within every posture there is an invitation. First, we meet what is present. We engage with honesty and curiosity. Then, just beyond the effort, there is another practice altogether: receiving. We soften. We listen. We allow the breath to become spacious and the heart to become receptive. In these moments of stillness, yoga reveals itself not as something we achieve, but something we remember. This is where integration begins. This is where practice transforms into a way of living.

Jessica believes that life itself is the practice. Every relationship, every challenge, every celebration, and every season offers an opportunity to know ourselves more fully. Yoga asks us to widen our perspective, soften our certainty, and meet each moment with courage and compassion. As teachers, our greatest offering is never simply what we know. It is who we are becoming. We practice together so that we may embody the teachings, reveal our own truth, and serve others from a place of lived experience, authenticity, and wholehearted presence.

Emily's journey with yoga began to blossom in 2006. I was guided to yoga by a hope to deepen my spiritual journey, find peace and happiness and connect the energies of mind, body and spirit; initially, I fell in love with the principles and sequence of the Ashtanga practice.

As I have continued to grow and vary my practice, so has my understanding of yoga and how it integrates into whole-living.I have evolved into and out of the rigidity of the Ashtanga structure, and am forever grateful for the lessons it taught me in my body, about my mind, and how it has allowed me to connect with the Something More.

In 2012 I received my 200 hour RYT from Sara Turk, focusing on Ashtanga-Vinyasa (flow) style yoga, as well as anatomy, physiology and the energetics of yoga. I continued my teacher-training journey with Sara and completed my 500 hour advanced training in 2015. Since this time, I have practiced under many teachers, on my own, and with some amazing students who have taught me so much.

Continuing to explore the link between subtle energy and well-being, I received my first Reiki Practitioner attunements with  Jennifer Carmack 2015-2018, and Reiki Master Teacher+Master of Masters attunements with Libby Barnett in 2023. This journey continues with Bonnie Watson and other master teachers, who patiently open doors to deeper levels of consciousness, and how I am here to Serve.  I am devoted to bridging the wisdom of ancient healing technologies with our modern lifestyle to a new way of being. I believe yoga to be a most integral piece of this bridging process.

My greatest hope is to empower myself and my students to embrace our individual strengths and realize our unique visions, thus living the life we were meant to live here on this earth; with purpose and vision in service of the greater good. I have become immersed in the ceremony of life, the sacred union of being human on this planet. I believe life should be celebrated, every day, in everything... and am dedicated to continue this work. The growth is in the work, and we achieve this through accountability and support… we are meant to connect, contribute and bring value to others along the way. I am learning new ways to uncover patterns and false identifications in my own life and hope to continue to partner with others to do the same.

200 hour yoga teacher training

Teacher Training Program

200 hours is a beginner teacher training program but is also welcome to an already seasoned teacher that wants to revisit the path of yoga. It is where students that would like to explore teaching starts.  We recommend students that have practiced yoga consistently for at least a year before starting a training program.

Deepen Your Practice

Teacher training not only prepares you to teach classes but also gives you a direct experience to committing to a yoga practice as well as learning the deeper philosophy and applying it to your practice.

Focus of the Training

Our program covers in depth the postures of yoga, alignment and energetics. As well as breath and pranayama, meditation, chakras and energetic systems of the body.

You will be trained to teach these practices.

The Courage to Teach

Before Starting Training

Learning how to hold space for your students, allowing for everyones full experiences in yoga is a very important skill. Responding to their body and energy in real time and using your intuition to guide your class makes for an impactful experience in your classes.

How do you hold space? How do you know when to say what? What is too much, what is enough? Well if we're leading our students back to themselves, then we must be leading the charge. We must be in our own bodies, feeling and present with what is and letting that space guide every word and action.

Before Starting Training

Before Starting Training

Before Starting Training

Practice, practice, practice! Meet yourself on your yoga mat. Dig in and attend as many yoga classes as you can. Stay open and ask questions as they arise. Transformation and change are an essential part of the training.  The more experience you have had as a student will only inform what your message will be as a teacher.

If you haven’t practiced much with Jess or Emily, start coming to class in person or online. Make sure our style and approach is something you are interested in learning.

Hatha Yoga
